The earth is a very large place, and God’s love needs to be spread all around it. Prestonwood offers many domestic minimesters, helping people spread The Good News around the United States. Today, we spoke to students who went on these minimester trips.
Freshman Mason Gray from the New York Missions Trip said, “I liked cleaning the church and seeing the Statue of Liberty.”
Most domestic minimester’s mix service and tourist attractions over their week. It lets the students be able to create fun memories with each other while being able to help the people in need around them. In the New York trip, students were able to enjoy seeing Times Square, and the Statue of Liberty while also being able to help the community.
Junior Nami Adenle from the Boston Trip said, “I enjoyed helping Fellowship Church and sorting clothes to help the Sunday School children. I also enjoyed touring Harvard; the campus was very cool.”
The Boston Minimester was led by Mrs. Logston, whose past experience of the city helped create a great trip of service for the students.
Sophomore Malie Paape from the New York Missions trips said, “I loved watching the Knicks game and packing food for the homeless, it helped me see how much I could help others.”
Next minimester, consider going domestic. Many students love going domestic, and it is such an amazing experience until you are ready to go international.
