End of an Era

Class of 2024 Senior Football Players Reflect
End+of+an+Era

The Prestonwood Lions fell just short this past Friday night, 62-73, in the TAPPS D1 semi-final against the St. Thomas Eagles from Houston.

This concluded another good season for the Lions, and the final game for the Class of 2024.

The Lions finished at 7-4 and second in their district after going 3-1 in district play. Although it was their last official highschool game, football may not be over for everyone in the 2024 class.

Multiple players in the class have opportunities from various schools from various divisions to play at the next level. The following include; Sean Chester, Elijah Knott, Nathan Laperi, Hudson Lunsford, Gunner Naivar, Ben Schugg, and Kellen Tasby.

We do have one Senior already committed to playing football at the next level.
Senior QB Kellen Tasby will be attending Tulane next fall to study and play football.

It was a sad moment for everyone after the clock hit 0:00. Although some will get to play again, it was the last time they would all play together for Prestonwood.

Some will never put the pads on again and that can be very difficult to accept. We say thank you to generations to come. Although a championship was not brought this year, the impact you all have left will help the younger classes win one in the future.
