Meet The Player - Juliana Chavez

What age were you when you started this sport?

I started playing soccer at the age of 4.

How many hours a week do you practice?

I would say I practice between 15 to 17 hours a week.

Name one thing you are working to improve right now?

I want to work on improving my striking.

Pre-game ritual?

I have to have chicken minis and coffee while listening to music.

What’s something you need to do for a meet/game?

I have to have my ankles taped, or I will not play good.

How would your teammates describe you?

I think they would say I’m instructive and I try to encourage people to play their best.

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model is Messi because he is the greatest of all time.

What is the hardest thing about your sport?

I would say running for an hour and a half straight.

Name something that stresses you out?

I want to do my best and not make mistakes.

Name a recent accomplishment you are proud of, and why?

I qualified for the Dana Cup in Denmark. This tournament is very difficult to be invited to, and it takes a lot of hard work.

Before I graduate, I want to ________, and why?

I want to play soccer in Europe because I’ve never been to Europe, and it would be a great experience.

Name one thing about yourself that most people don’t know?

I love traveling and visiting new places.
