PCA Students Excel at Texas Future Problem Solving State Bowl in Waco
Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) students showcased their exceptional talents at the 2025 Texas Future Problem Solving (FPS) State Bowl, held April 11–13 at the Waco Convention Center.
Global Issues Problem Solving
The team of Blake Wilson, Connor Moffitt, Harrison Hilliard, and Timothy Mei achieved a 6th place finish in the Global Issues Problem Solving (GIPS) competition, demonstrating their analytical and collaborative skills. Another PCA team—Rachel DenBraber, Colette Co, Kennedy Harris, and Cameron Hill—secured 5th place in the same category, highlighting the depth of talent within PCA’s program.
Presentation of Action Plan
Wilson, Moffitt, Hilliard, and Mei also earned 2nd place in the Presentation of Action Plan, where teams creatively present solutions to complex future scenarios.
Scenario Performance and Writing
PCA dominated the Scenario Performance category, with Tomi Okunfulure clinching 1st place, followed by Taylor Hamilton, Nami Adenle, Parmin Family, and Blake Dunham. Tomi further showcased versatility by securing 4th place in Scenario Writing, a testament to PCA’s emphasis on storytelling and foresight.
Community Problem Solving
In the Community Problem Solving division, Timothy Mei was named Grand Champion for his impactful project. His initiative, “Boost,” based in Dallas, addresses community challenges through innovative solutions.
These achievements underscore PCA’s commitment to developing future-ready students equipped with critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The students’ success at the state level positions them as strong contenders for the upcoming International Conference.
