Are you ready for your sibling to graduate? The Class of 2024 can’t wait to graduate, but their siblings may feel different about their departure. A lot of younger siblings look up to their older siblings, so it is a bittersweet feeling.

As the thought of moving out arises, seniors are contemplating how they feel about leaving home and their siblings.

Freshman Aubrey Acker said, “I am very sad because my brother is my best friend.”

Senior John Acker said, “I will miss Aubrey since I have gotten a lot closer with her.”

Some seniors may leave and miss out on their siblings growing up and important events in their life. It is important for some people to be present and part of their lives.

Senior Jackie Dominguez said, “I am excited to start a new journey in life, but I am sad to miss out on my little brother growing up and experiencing life.”

Fifth Grade student Noah Dominguez said, “I am happy for my sister, but it won’t be the same at home without her.”

As a sibling of a senior myself, it is definitely very hard to think about what life looks like without my sister who has been there the whole time. I am excited for her to graduate and continue her future, but I will miss her a lot.

As the anticipation for graduation grows, families will treasure every moment until that time. During this time, seniors will definitely miss their family and siblings, but we are excited for what’s to come for them.
