More than just a crown, it takes beauty and brains to compete in a pageant. Emma Sophia White and Audrey Blaine showcase their talents in various competitive pageants against other competitors.
Preparing for pageants is quite stressful! Sophomore Audrey Blaine explains, “I write a speech and practice learning my résumé a few weeks before competing against the best of the best.”
When asked how long she has been in the pageant scene she states “I have been competing in pageants for 3 years now, although I may not always win I always stay in a good headspace.”
She is excited and overjoyed to compete over the summer; we are rooting for her!
Furthermore, our beauty queen, Emma Sophia White, who won Miss Dallas Teen, goes into depth on her complex experience winning the pageant.
Emma remarks, “Winning Miss Dallas Teen was such a special moment I will remember for the rest of my life. It was amazing not only getting the opportunity to compete and better myself through pageantry, but also being able to win was such a dream come true! My year has already been so special, and I can’t wait for the months to come.”
She will be competing in the upcoming Miss Texas Teen competition in Houston, Texas in May, which will take place at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel. Not only will there be exceptional contestants, but a nail biting battle for the crown.
To prepare, Emma states, “Similarly, as in a good amount of other activities, prep is crucial to how you perform in a pageant. My prep mostly consists of mock interviews, practicing runway walking and choreography, and mental prep.”
A special congratulations to Emma for putting her best foot forward and taking home the title of Miss Dallas Teen!
Competing in these pageants is extremely nerve-racking. To partake in this event you need to have exceptional knowledge about public speaking and be able to give astonishing answers to worldwide issues.
Both vocalize that they are enthusiastic about the future and what’s to come!
