As the season drew to a close, energy filled the air at Prestonwood for the much-anticipated Senior Night, a tribute to the remarkable seniors on the volleyball team. This special event celebrated the hard work and dedication of these athletes, who had left an indelible mark on the program.
Senior Taylor Cook reflected on her feelings, saying, “Senior Night was a mix of emotions. I was thrilled to share this moment with my teammates, but it was hard to believe our time together was almost over.” The festivities took place in the school’s field house, where friends, family, and fans gathered to cheer on the team in their final ride of the year.
Senior Cari Spears led the team with passion, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and perseverance. “This night was dedicated to our seniors and the incredible impact they’ve had on the program,” she remarked. “They set a standard for the younger players to follow.”
The evening featured heartfelt recognitions for each senior, highlighting their unique contributions to the team. Senior Adurey Letcher shared her joy: “It felt amazing to be honored with my teammates. We shared so many memories and challenges together!”
The Prestonwood student section brought their signature energy, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the match. Senior Sloan Cleveland noted, “The student section always added so much fun to the experience. It was an unforgettable night!”
As the match unfolded against their rivals, the competition was intense, but the focus remained on celebrating the seniors’ achievements. Sophomore Nyla Livings emphasized the spirit of togetherness, stating, “Regardless of the outcome, I was just grateful to play alongside these amazing athletes.”
With the Fall season wrapping up, the anticipation for this special night had grown, as students and staff united to create a memorable celebration. Sophomore Anya Baklenko added, “I couldn’t wait to show our seniors how much we appreciated them. Their talent and commitment inspired us all.”
