Chi Sigma is a volunteer organization that values academic and professional excellence in counseling. It starts from 5th grade and moves all the way up to 12th.
Long Time Member, Blake Wilson describes, “Chi Sigma allows me to perform outreach in my community that would not have been available otherwise, I have learned many valuable lessons during my time that have affected the rest of my life.”
Students use Chi Sigma to both affect the people they are serving, but also grow as a person and towards God. Its long term goal is to build a strong relationship with your community, and be able to fully give back until the students reach college.
Chi Sigma partners with service organizations such as the Salvation Army, Operation Christmas Child, Unions Gospel Mission, and Minnie’s Food Pantry. Students are able to build strong relationships with the people they serve, and leave a lasting impression for colleges.
Primarily, Chi Sigma gives back to Prestonwood through the Special Friends Prom. Volunteers welcome the students into the church and help bring a great time for everybody to have fun.
Whether you need extra service hours, or want to give back to the community, Chi Sigma is perfect for you. IF you would like to sign up, email Heather Koval ([email protected]).
