One of PCA’s biggest events was on September 27th: Homecoming! Homecoming was such a fun event, and grades Pre-K 3-12 all had the opportunity to participate. From the parade to the football game, Homecoming was filled with school spirit, bringing together friends and families across the Prestonwood community together. Think of it as a big party with lots of fun activities the little kids love participating in!
In the Lower School, PCA’s youngest students were filled with excitement for Homecoming Day and got the chance to meet the school mascot, Levi the Lion! He attended the highly anticipated Homecoming parade alongside many upper school sports teams, clubs, and more! The morning was full of sparkling floats and giant balloons, captivating every set of little eyes. After celebrating the pride of the blue and gold all day, students then brought the energy to the annual homecoming football game that night.
The parade and football game are not the only traditions that excited the lower schoolers. Patrick, a fourth grader from Mrs. Carroll’s class said, “I am excited to see my sister get those cute posters from a guy since she is in high school.”
It is a tradition in the upper school for boys to ask girls to the homecoming dance with a cute homemade poster. It’s so wholesome for younger kids to watch an older sibling receive or make a poster for someone.
The most special experience, however, is that of Prestonwood’s first-timers, The Pre-K-3 class! It is always so fun to experience something new, and this is one of our biggest events they enjoy this year.
Grayson, a student from Mrs. Andrews’ Pre-K 3 class said, “I am excited for the football game that night.”
Lower school’s involvement in Hoco was not only a fun time with their friends but also their family. It allowed them to make new friends and memories. The little kids had a blast at PCA Hoco 2024!
