At PCA Plano, they integrate biblical faith and sports to encourage each student-athlete to have an eternal perspective and use their athletic gifts for the glory of God. Rooted in the values of selflessness and humility, our athletics program is about so much more than winning games. PCA aims to develop each student-athlete both on and off our arenas of play. Our heart is that every student at PCA Plano would be involved in Athletics in some capacity. Inspired by Colossians 3:23, PCA strives to work with all our hearts, uplifting each other and glorifying the Lord in every aspect of our athletic endeavors. The sports that are wrapping up this fall include cross country, football, volleyball, and cheer.
Harmony Mitchell, Middle School Volleyball Player, said, “Every serve is a chance to show what we’ve worked for. We play as a team, and together we can achieve anything!”
Sydney Barnett, Middle School Volleyball Player, said, “Winning feels great, but the friendships we’ve built this season are what really matter. We’re a family on and off the court!”
Landon Cobb, Middle School Football Player, said, “Every tackle and touchdown is a step closer to our goals. It’s all about teamwork and pushing each other to be our best!”
Eli Moore, Middle School Football Player, said, “This season taught us resilience. We faced challenges, but we never gave up. I’m proud of how far we’ve come together!”
Carter Bovermann, Middle School Cross Country Runner, said, “Running isn’t just about speed; it’s about pushing your limits and supporting each other through every mile. We’re in this together!”
Ashley Lo, Middle School Cross Country Runner, said, “Cross country is a journey, not just a race. Each step we take together brings us closer as teammates and friends!”
PCA Plano’s athletics program is all about combining sports with our faith. Prestonwood believes every student-athlete has special gifts to use for God’s glory. As they finish the fall sports season, they celebrate the friendships and growth that happened alongside our games.
