The fall baseball season is off to a strong start at Prestonwood Christian Academy, with the Lions sitting at an undefeated 3-0. The team has been practicing hard since the end of August, and the hard work is clearly paying off. After victories over Creekview, Memorial, and a decisive 9-3 win against Rockhill on Tuesday, the team is showing promise as they head into upcoming matchups against Jesuit, Hebron, and Braswell.
Senior outfielder Braylon White talked about his thoughts on the season. “The season’s going great. Our team is looking really solid this season, and we have a lot of talented young players on the roster. As a senior, I’m really trying to encourage the younger players to work hard to make sure we have success this season. Our main goal right now is making sure we are prepared for district in the spring season, and getting one more state championship win before I graduate.”
Catcher Cruz Banuelas shared his thoughts on the social part of baseball, saying, “So far, the season has been great. I’ve enjoyed getting closer with my teammates as well as enjoying the environment that comes with playing baseball. The brotherhood it has created is unmatched.”
With a strong start to the season and a championship ring in mind, the Lions look to cap off a perfect fall season and carry that momentum into the spring!
