Congratulations to everyone for surviving the first quarter of this school year! As the second quarter begins, everyone is looking forward to the many festivities that make up fall and the beginning of winter. However, one major issue is being able to balance all the activities and school, so here are some tips to make it a little bit easier:
First, you can make a schedule or to-do list so that you have all the things you need to do organized. It can be helpful to see all the activities and things you need to accomplish
Junior Amaia Scholl said, “I like to write down all the things I have to do so I can remember my daily tasks.”
Second, it is important to prioritize what you need to get done. Depending on your schedule, some things are more important to accomplish than others.
Senior Braylon White said, “It is important to start on your assignments when they are do so you are not behind.”
Finally, it is important to have lots of breaks as well. If you focus too much on the busy parts of life, it can make it hard to stay motivated and focused.
Sophomore Leigh Rector said, “I like to do a little homework and then take small breaks so that I am not overwhelmed.”
As you balance daily life, sports, clubs, homework, and more, remember to stay on track, prioritize, and take breaks. It is much easier to manage your time when you know what you have to do and have a plan to do it. Good luck in second quarter and have fun along the way!
