If you have been at PCA for a little while, you know about the annual tradition that is like no other: Grandparent’s Day. This day is uniquely special because PCA takes a day off from school to have grandparents come from all over the world to be with their grandkids and spend time worshiping the Lord together. The joy the little kids get out of this day is something like no other.
Grandparent’s Day 2024 at PCA is Friday, September 13th and this day is not only special to the kids, but the teachers also take pride in this day as well.
First-grade teacher, Mrs. Stringfellow says, “I believe Grandparent’s Day is important because it connects our future students to our past elders and we always need the history from our grandparents to guide us on the path that God wants us to go.”
From this day, we not only learn more about our grandparents’ history and spend quality time with them, but ASW sets the tone in honoring the grandparents for being here for their grandchildren, acknowledging their achievements in life, and even praying for them to have a special day and a safe trip when they travel back home.
After ASW, the children were released at 11:30 am to spend the rest of the day enjoying their time with their families.
