The Prestonwood Lions faced off against All Saints Episcopal school Friday, September 5th at seven o’ clock. This was a highly anticipated matchup between the second-place and third-place teams in the Texas private school football rankings. The theme for this highly intense matchup tonight was fairytale, and all students, parents, and anyone and everyone who wanted to support them went out to supported them.
Junior Defensive lineman Eddie Brownstien was third-team all-Texas private school football and is poised for a breakout year.
Eddie said, “Before games I usually like to hydrate and lock in, usually listening to a variety of different music. Usually Drake, Diddy, and a mixture of worship music.”
Colt Hillhouse is known for his adversity and hard work and is a strong leader on this team. Junior Trent Clarkson predicts that the Lions will come out on top winning with a score of seventeen to fourteen.
Junior offensive lineman Colt Hillhouse says that the best part about being on the football team is, “His community with my brothers and just playing hard.”
The Lions started the season off strong, with a commanding win over Episcopal School of Dallas with a score of forty-two to seven. The road to winning a state championship could be very long for the Lions, but with the talent on the team, the strong leaders behind them, and the diehard Lions fans cheering for them, it can be done.
