PSO excited to announce the launch of its very first Sixth Grade Lion’s football team this year. The young athletes are gearing up for their debut game this Saturday, September 7th, against Team Beastmode. We caught up with some of the players to get their thoughts on the season so far and their anticipation for the big game.
Tyler Hibbetts, who plays both Tight End and Defensive End, shared his reflections on the season: “Football this year has taught me the importance of hard work. I’ve learned that when you put in the work, you begin to see the results on the field.” Tyler has enjoyed the season’s practices and is eagerly looking forward to the first game.
Wide Receiver and Linebacker Kross Wrona also expressed his excitement: “Overall, I’m really excited about our game on Saturday. I feel confident about how it will go as long as we put in the work in practice so it translates to the field.” Kross has been learning new techniques and strategies, including tackling and understanding the team’s playbook.
Linebacker Logan Abrams has been enthusiastic about the team’s preparation: “We have been practicing since the second week of summer,” he explained. “I love it because we get to learn different drills as well as concepts about football before our games.” Logan has embraced the training process and is keen to apply what he’s learned in their upcoming game.
As the team gears up for their inaugural match, the players’ dedication and excitement are clear. With a solid foundation of hard work and preparation, the Sixth Grade Lion’s football team is set to make a strong debut. Good luck, Lions!
