Every year, 5th-8th graders gather on campus to participate in the annual Middle School Retreat. It is a great oppurtunity to bond with both old and new classmates. The retreat took place in various spots on campus such as the SMB, Joe Perry Sports Complex, and the PSO Gym. The students got to hear from a Staff panel, play games, and worship throughout the day.
Sixth grader Caleb Arnold said, “I loved playing dodgeball in the gym.”
One aspect of retreat is that it brings the Middle Schol students together and helps build and strengthen friendships.
Sixth grader Kross Wrona said, “The retreat was really cool and my favorite part was playing capture the flag with all my friends.”
Many people enjoyed getting to play games and have a fun day at school. The Retreat is a highlight for many and is a memorable beginning to the year.
Sixth grader Nathan Meseret said, “I loved getting to play all the games, especially capture the flag.”
The day was packed with activities to keep the students busy and having fun all day.
Fifth grader Molli Matthews said, “I enjoyed spending time with my friends and playing dodgeball and basketball.”
Overall, many of the students had lots of fun at the retreat and got to meet all their new classmates. They got to play games, listen to advice from the Staff, and worship throughout the day. What a great way to open the school year!
