The Hosanna Parade is a yearly tradition for all of the Pre-K 4 students. They line up and walk around the school saying “Hosanna, hosanna, Jesus is coming.” It represents how the crowd treated Jesus as he rode into Nazareth on a donkey six days before The Passover. The students have fun making palm leaves to wave around as they walk the halls.
Pre-K 4 student Jax Hill said, “I had fun making the leaves for the parade.”
Aside from making and waving leaves, one student gets to dress up as Jesus and ride on a stick donkey through the halls.
Pre-K 4 student Kenna Cote said, “Seeing Jesus ride on a pretend donkey was my favorite part.”
The Hosanna Parade is very exciting for the Pre-K 4 students because it is their first time doing something for the whole lower school to see.
Pre-K 4 student Aiden Zinnur said, “I was really excited and had lots of fun showing the other students my leaf.”
This parade is very enjoyable for the students and it allows them to learn about the Easter story in a fun way. Putting the parade together creates memories for the students that will always remind them of why we celebrate Easter.
