Freedom Weekend, hosted by Prestonwood Baptist Church, is a weekend full of amazing sermons and worship time. High School Students from any school are able to attend Freedom Weekend to learn and deepen their faith in Christ. Whether you know or don’t know about God, Freedom is the perfect experience for all students.
The Wednesday following Freedom Weekend, the students all gathered at the church to worship and hear stories of the impactful past week. The students got to really reflect on how the Lord moved in their lives and in the people around them. There were even some students who accepted Christ as their Savior that Wednesday.
Sophomore Lulu Presbrey explains how she thought to attend Freedom and said, “Bree, an amazing staff member of PBC, invited and encouraged me to go. I am so glad I listened to her because it was such an amazing weekend, and the worship songs were my favorite part.”
Sophomore Madi Neel talks about what impacted her the most at Freedom Weekend and said, “Watching all the students get up and accept Christ was beautiful, knowing that all those kids now have a relationship with Christ just made me so happy.”
Senior Emily Ketchand expresses the impact Freedom had on her and said, “I got to learn more about what it means to be holy, and after my life group and I got to talk about it, I gained a lot of knowledge about this topic.”
All the students who were able to attend Freedom Weekend had only good things to share and expressed how everyone who has the time should go next year. From worship time to life groups, every minute was filled with joy as Christ’s name was proclaimed in bold ways.
