What age were you when you started this sport?
Brent: I started playing tennis when I was four years old.
Zack: I started playing in middle school, so I was about ten years old.
How many hours a week do you practice?
Brent: I only play during school practice, so about seven hours.
Zack: I practice for about seven hours as well, but also some on the weekends.
Name one thing you are working to improve right now?
Brent: I need to make the serve faster and more precise.
Zack: I want to hit my volleys higher.
Pre-game ritual?
Brent: I always go to Chick-Fil-A before.
Zack: I listen to my favorite music before games.
How would your teammates describe you?
Zack: I think they would describe me as caring.
Brent: I think that they would say I am hard-working.
Who is your role model, and why?
Zack: I would say my mom because she is always there for me no matter what.
Brent: My dad because he always pushed me to go farther.
What is the hardest thing about your sport? mind games (mental)
Zack: For me, staying focused and not getting distracted is the hardest.
Brent The hardest thing is to strategize when playing.
Name something that stresses you out?
Zack: Writing capstones are very scary.
Brent: I have to write a lot of papers which can be overwhelming at times.
Name a recent accomplishment you are proud of, and why?
Zack: I am proud of the growth in my relationship with God.
Brent: I am proud of making State, where I can go to Austin to see the capitol building.
Before I graduate, I want to ________, and why?
Zack: I want to focus more on God before I graduate.
Brent: Before I graduate, I want to complete my internship.
Name one thing about yourself that most people don’t know?
Zack: In middle school, I played football.
Brent: When I was five, I went paragliding.
