The Middle School Swim team works hard from the beginning of November to the end of January leading up to the biggest meet of the season, the Middle School Metroplex Championship Meet.
With over 400 swimmers attending each year, it is easily the most challenging and nerve-racking meet. Despite being difficult, the swimmers enjoy hanging out with each other all day at the natatorium waiting for the final results. Nerve-wracking, but so much fun.
Sixth Grade Student Gia Smith said, “This meet is my most favorite one of the whole season because I get to be with my friends all day.”
Other swimmers enjoy the meet for the competition that it brings to the sport.
Eighth Grade Student Katharine Coglitore said, “I’m excited to win each event and become a champion for the last time in middle school.”
The swimmers in Seventh and Eighth grade are excited to show how their hard work, time, and training pays off.
Seventh Grade Student Joshua Park said, “I look forward to all the meets, but especially this one because it shows my progress over the season.”
This meet shows off the hard work, time, and passion that all the swimmers put into the sport all year. The swimmers grow close to each other and form friendships that will last them through high school.
