Created this year, the PCA Music Club is a place where people who are enthusiastic about music can come together. The club is open to everyone, and they talk about all things music, whether it’s playing instruments or talking about songs you have heard. It is not required to play an instrument like you would in band; The only requirement is a love for music.
Sophomore Jennifer Yang said, “We learn pieces and we have put together a small ensemble of different instruments. For example, we now have guitar, piano, cello, violin, flute, and even vocals in the club!”
The founders of the club are Sophomores Rayna Han and Colette Ko.
Sophomore Rayna Han said, “Colette and I thought of making a club because we don’t have an orchestra or a non marching band at PCA. Recently, we just started working on “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay and once we get it done we might record it and post it online.”
Being a part of the Music Club allows members to enjoy music in different ways.
Sophomore Chaeah Yoon said, “I’m already in band but we don’t have that many chances to play some different types of music so I joined because I want to play orchestra music, pop music, etc.”
As you can see, the Music Club is a great group to be in. Not only can you talk about fun music, but you can play it too. The music club meets every Wednesday from 2:35-3:00pm. We encourage you to join.
