Bright Futures Ahead

Prestonwood Athletes Sign To Play College Level Sports

Every year, National Signing Day is where athletes get to commit to their college of choice. Whether it is a big or small school, PCA celebrates everybody who will represent The Lions in the future athletically. Today, we had the chance to interview some of these athletes, who have all worked very hard to get to where they are today. We have 7 talented athletes signing on November 8, 2023 to play next level in baseball and volleyball.

AJ DePaolo is a senior at PCA and is signing to play baseball at Vanderbilt University. At Vanderbilt, AJ will be playing for the Commodores in the NCAA, where at the next level of baseball he will be able to advance his skills to get ready to play in the MLB.

Senior AJ DePaolo said, “Vanderbilt is a new point in my life, and I am excited to be able to play at the next level and re-learn baseball with my teammates.”

Mikala Young is a senior at PCA and will be attending Texas Christian University next year. She will be playing volleyball for the Horned Frogs. During this time, Mikala plans to have fun with her teammates and be able to enjoy college with her friends.

Senior Mikala Young said, “My plan is to invite my teammates to FCA (Future Christian Athletes) and spread The Word with my teammates.”

Chris Patterson is also a senior at PCA who will be attending the University of Missouri. He will be playing baseball for the Tigers. In college, Chris is most excited to meet new people and play in the SEC.

Senior Chris Patterson said, “I am really excited for new coaches, being able to meet new people, and teammates.”

No matter where our students go, PCA is so proud of all of their students that are going to compete at the next level. These athletes are our next generation, where the Word of God will be spread through all the college campuses.
