One of the biggest highlights of High School is Homecoming, not just the dance but the festivities as well. The main event that leads up to Homecoming is the iconic float and float build days. Float build days are where each class meets at a designated area student government picks to start crafting for their class float. If you’re curious about what happens behind the scenes, then keep reading.
Let’s start off with upperclassmen who have participated in float build days plenty of times.
Senior Luke Wilson said, “Everyone who can should show up to their grade’s build days because it is their responsibility as a student to be a part of their class activities.”
Another experienced SGA member, Sophomore Blake Wilson said, “Float build days are an exciting way to interact with fellow students outside of the school environment and build stronger friendships with each other.”
Sophomore Timothy Mei talks about why his class should participate, “It’s my first year, so I don’t have any past experiences, but I think that showing up to float build days is a fun way to contribute to your grade and show your Lion Pride.”
Homecoming float build days are an amazing way to interact with your classmates, all while helping and contributing to your class’s float. As it is an experience you can only experience in highschool, make sure you don’t miss out.
