Volleyball season is here and the district opening game was Tuesday, September 14. PCA faced Bishop Lynch resulting in PCA winning 3-1. The team had been practicing hard for this moment, and this first victory is a great start for the coming games.
Going into the game, the players were very excited to see their hard work being reflected in their play.
Senior Caitlyn Childers said, “The game’s goal was to focus on beating Bishop Lynch and taking our first district win. It was great to see the energy and the hard work we put in all go together on the court.”
Since the district opener is the first game in the season, the team wanted to start the year undefeated.
Junior Taylor Clark said, “Our goals were to have better energy and execution. We also wanted to start district 1-0.”
Everyone put their best effort in and brought their energy. The Lady Lions played their best utilizing teamwork and communication in order to win the game.
Freshman Naomi Livings said, “My goal, especially as a freshman, was to go into the game just doing my job and making sure that I added some sort of value to the game no matter how much playing time I got. Another thing is to bring a lot of energy to the game.”
As Prestonwood enters the volleyball district as the first winners, we are very excited to see what the rest of the season will hold. Achieving the victory was only possible through the teamwork, hard work, and communication of the players. Volleyball State Championship here we come.
