The 2023-2024 Swim Season has their first practice on September 2nd. This is an exciting time for our swim team because a new season means new people and experiences.
Sophomore Colette Ko said, “I am most excited to meet new people and go to the meets.”
In a few weeks, the swim team will travel to San Antonio for their first meet of the season, The Battle of the Crown. This is the perfect time for our swimmers to shine on the water.
Freshman Audrey Blaine said, “I am excited to go to our first meet and get back in the water.”
Practices are after school every day for 1 to 2 hours, except on Friday when practices are in the morning.
There are about 10-15 people on the highschool swim team. The team is small but everyone gets to know each other.
Sophomore Aidan Petrof said, “I am most excited for the bus rides on the way to San Antonio because we get to bond as a team.”
The swim team is going to miss having the alumni at practice, but they are all excited for the upcoming freshman and the new captains of the season.
Senior Lauren DenBraber said, “I am looking forward to spending time with the team and getting to know everyone more at the Battle of the Crown. It feels sad that I only have one season left on the team, but I’m also excited to see how the team will be this year and how it will be in the future.”
We are excited to see how our swim team continues to excel and constantly amaze us this coming year.
