What age were you when you started this sport?
I was 11 years old when I started playing this sport.
How many hours a week do you practice?
In pre-season we practice 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. Once the season starts we cut back to 3 days of practice and 2 games a week.
Name one thing you are working to improve right now?
I’m working on improving the timing of my blocks.
Pre-game ritual?
My pre-game ritual is listening to music. I love music and it gets me focused for the game. I am also superstitious about my hair. It has to be braided and put into a high bun.
What’s something you need to do for a meet/game?
I have to eat and rest before a game.
How would your teammates describe you?
I think they would describe me as an encourager, hardworking, and a team player.
Who is your role model, and why?
My brother is my role model because he’s firm in his beliefs and leads well. He’s super funny too!!
What is the hardest thing about your sport?
The hardest thing about my sport is being a short pin hitter.
Name something that stresses you out?
Something that stresses me out is exams and studying.
Name a recent accomplishment you are proud of, and why?
I just got accepted into OSU and Texas Tech. I am excited to have my college applications done early, and I plan to attend Tech next fall. Wreck ‘em!!
Before I graduate, I want to ________, and why?
Soak it all in! Senior year will be over in a flash and we’ll all go our separate ways soon.
Name one thing about yourself that most people don’t know?
I don’t like sweets and I only drink water.

Jackie Dominguez is a Senior and second year member of LionsNation Online. She serves as a Co-Editor in Chief. She enjoys playing volleyball, being on the FPS Board and being a member of the PCA Science Olympiad team. Outside of school, she can be found volunteering in the children’s ministry at PBC.
