Graduation season is always a bittersweet time for students with friends graduating. It is a time where underclassmen see their friends move on to a new chapter in their life. Although it is fun to see them graduate, it is still hard to see friends start a completely new life.
One of the best ways to deal with friends that are graduating is to spend as much time as possible with them before they leave.
“I am trying to see my senior friends at least once or twice a week to soak up all the time that I have left with them.” said Sophomore Emerson McNeff. Quality time is especially valuable at this point in time, especially since it may be a while before they come back home.
This time is a great opportunity for juniors to be able to step up and become leaders for the new underclassman.
“The baseball team is planning to step up and be leaders for the younger guys on the team.” said Junior Dominic Campbell.
Most are feeling a sense of sadness surrounding the upcoming graduation season. This feeling is normal, and happens to most students every single year. Although it is sad, it is also a time of celebration.
“I am not excited about graduation because me and the seniors have bonded a lot over the course of this year.” said Sophomore Remy Lytle.
One of the best parts about grad season is attending grad parties. Going to grad parties is a way that the seniors’ friends can celebrate their success in graduating, and their time at Prestonwood.
Overall, graduation season is a bittersweet time for everyone. It is a time that should be enjoyed and celebrated. Spending time with the seniors while they are still here is the best way to be able to build memories and continue to connect with them.
