Tearful Goodbyes with Family

How the Lineberger family adjusts to their Senior graduating
Tearful+Goodbyes+with+Family

The connections families bring to Prestonwood is a huge part of our school. The sibling dynamic throughout the Upper, Middle, and Lower shapes our school. The seniors lead our school and younger Classmen look up to them.

The Lineberger family has been at Prestonwood for 12 years. Their family consists of Senior Hailey Lineberger, Junior Lauren Lineberger, and Eighth Grader Luke Lineberger.

“I have a responsibility. They look up to me, and I know that my actions are an example, and I try not to take that for granted.” said Hailey.

When younger siblings walk the same hallways and have the same teachers as older siblings it allows for amazing memories.

“Watching my siblings do the same things I have done makes me want to go back, but also gives my family and I something to bond over.” said Hailey.

Also, when the seniors graduate and leave their homes for college, their families adjust. From not having them at the dinner table to them not being able to help in carpool, day to day life changes.

“I will miss Hailey next year and all our car rides to get a late night snack, but I know she will come back and visit,” said Luke.

During the busy times of graduation, all families are trying to cherish their last moments with their seniors.
