What age were you when you started the sport?
I started running track when I was about 12 or 13.
How many hours a week do you practice?
I probably practice around 16-20 hours a week.
Name one thing you are working to improve right now?
I most want to improve my times.
Pregame ritual?
I have to stretch and breathe.
What’s something you need to do for a meet/game?
I need to be confident and not be nervous.
How would your teammates describe you?
I would say they would describe me as committed.
Who is your role model, and why?
My role model is my dad because he encourages me to do my best.
What is the hardest thing about your sport?
I think staying calm is the hardest thing about track.
Name something that stresses you out?
Right before the gun goes off, I have to stay put on the line, hoping for the time that I want even though it may never come.
Name a recent accomplishment, you’re proud of, and why?
One accomplishment I’m proud of is winning a medal at all my meets last year because it took a lot of hard work to do that.
Before I graduate, I want to ________, and why?
I want to get offers from colleges so I can run track in college.
Name one thing about yourself that most people don’t know?
In track, I can do all sprints and jumps making me a very versatile athlete.
