At what age did you start playing volleyball?
I started playing volleyball when I was seven years old.
How many hours a week do you practice?
I practice at a maximum of 14 and a minimum of 6 hours a week.
Name one thing you are working to improve right now?
My vertical.
Pre-game ritual?
I like to wear my jersey to sleep sometimes before a big tournament, and before a big game, I like to play music to dial in whether it be with my team or by myself.
What’s something you need to do for a game?
I need to tape my fingers and drink some sort of energy drink.
How would your teammates describe you?
My teammates would describe me as very loud, and possibly a leader (I like to see myself as one). I guess I’m pretty funny.
Who is your role model, and why?
My parents, because my mom tells me all the time that volleyball is a team sport so there is no room for selfishness, and my dad has taught me since day one the characteristics of being a leader.
What is the hardest thing about volleyball?
Going for balls, you have to have a pretty good reaction to almost everything because it’s a really fast game and it’s all about errors.
Name something that stresses you out, and why?
Making sure that I’m doing my part on the team as an outside hitter.
Name a recent accomplishment you are proud of, and why?
I have recently been invited to be apart of the USA’s girls’ national training team.
Before I graduate, I want to ________, and why?
Get accepted into UCLA my junior or senior year and win state at least once.
Name one thing about yourself that most people don’t know?
My birthmark is in the shape of a cat.
