Just a short walk across the parking lot will take you into a whole new world! A few PCA Seniors have a passion, and it is to intern with St. Timothy Christian Academy, or STCA.

STCA Principal Lisa McNair said, “STCA would not have known about the PCA Internship Program if Hannah Wageman hadn’t contacted us! When she heard about STCA moving to the Prestonwood campus, she contacted Dr. Taylor, Dr. Moss, and us to say she’d like to intern. From her initiative, we now have eight interns!” This new opportunity for PCA students creates a great connection between the two campuses.

Senior Hannah Wageman, said, “I feel honored to be the lead intern, and I love to lead others who share the same calling as me. This role helps me further my knowledge about the special education field.” The beauty of this internship is that it has given students a feel for what they would like to study in college. These students have been a source of God’s love to PCA students. Wageman added, “They are walking with me hand in hand keeping me accountable and showing me what it is like to walk in life with the Lord.”

Senior Miranda Reeves is also serving with STCA as a second year intern. Reeves has specifically connected with some of the Upper School students and uses Facetime with them daily. Reeves said, “My favorite part is the relationships I’ve formed with each of the students. They’ve become so much more than kids I am working with, some of them are my very close friends. Nothing makes me happier than spending time with them!”

Senior Aeris Rabroker also serves as a second year intern, and her tender-hearted spirit for the students that she works with shines through. She shares a lesson on how she connects with students. Rabroker comments, “Find joy in every moment. These kids are happier than any other. Nothing can stop them from loving recklessly and showing God through their lives. God is working miracles through STCA, and I’m so grateful to take part in that.”

Each intern gets to participate in the classrooms, P.E. gyms, and even art class. They travel with the students and get to experience something new each day. With a passion for students, interns make an impact on STCA each day!
