The baseball season starts this week! This is a great time to get players and coaches ready for the upcoming season. Meals preparation, team practices and lifts are ways teams excel. Setting goals and sticking to them will make this season lots of fun.
Freshman Parker Felsman, “Communicating and working as a team to string together a lot of wins will be lots of fun.”
Battling adversity is not a skill you need in baseball, but in life. There will always be ups and downs but working hard will play off. Whether you’re a starter or a bench player, there are always ways to improve to be the best version of yourself.
“I always try to hit in the cages 4 times a week and work to improve my fielding doing some drills,” said Sophomore Tate Cherry.
Fixing your game on the field is always a really good thing to do, but focusing on diet and weight training can also excel your game. Players have different techniques and ways of improving off the field.
“Working on my stretching and focusing on my nutrition helps me play my best,” said Freshman Tyler Eagle.
Another way of improving your game but also yourself is building connections with teammates and coaches. This provides a momentum build in the team and will elevate everyone on the team to do better. And so as the baseball season is here, come out and support your Lions!
