Half way through the season, there have already been many ups and downs. After each game and practice, players are working on correcting their mistakes and getting better. There are a variety of different ways players can improve their game.
“Working on my dribbling skills and learning to make the smart passes ahead to teammates is something I can work on,” said Freshman Charlie Henkel.
The future is bright for kids who increase their confidence and play in games. Although working on getting better is amazing, sitting back and replaying all of your accomplishments is such a great feeling.
Freshman Mateo Delgado said, “Going back, watching tape and seeing where our team does well is always a great sign of improvement.”
Winning states is obviously a goal teams strive to achieve. It’s not impossible as long as the team gives it its best effort, works together, and keep the Lord number one, anything is possible.
Freshman Zachary Chong said, “As long as we learn to communicate better and practice more as a team, I can see us being contenders.”
As the season goes on, teams will fight for that championship and it doesn’t always go to the best overall team but the team who shows resilience and puts in the time to get better. Good luck Lions!
