Thanksgiving break is coming up soon and is a very anticipated time for students to get a break from school and spend time with family and friends! Thanksgiving is on Thursday, November 27th, but the students break runs from the 24th through the 28th. It gives a good time to catch up on school work and study, but also a time to relax before the stressful time of finals coming up in December. Going out of town to visit family or making plans with friends over the break is what many students look forward to.
Lulu Presbrey, a senior, said “I’m going back to Connecticut to go see some of my family!”
Some other students use the time off to travel somewhere new and visit colleges.
Emery Nichols, another senior, said she is “going to New Orleans to visit and tour Tulane.”
Many students also participate in the annual Gift of Christmas show through the church and need the time off to prepare for this.
Emily Glenn, a sophomore, said “I have Gift of Christmas rehearsals throughout the week, but I am also going to Oklahoma with some of my family!”
Thanksgiving break is an exciting time to enjoy the fall weather, spend time with family, and take a break from schoolwork over the week. Students travel, visit colleges, see family, and even attend rehearsals for upcoming shows. The time allows students and teachers to do things that they normally would not have time for during the school week. Thanksgiving break is always a relaxing time to spend with others and enjoy time off school!
