As the season is coming to an end, this is a great time to reflect on this past season. Running with friends while pushing yourself to do better is impactful on the people around you. Looking back at what you have accomplished gives you that special feeling of knowing you gave it your all.
Freshman Connor Chambers said, “Finishing every race while maintaining a good speed, gives me motivation to keep on pushing to get better each and every day.”
Doing good in a race always feels great, but there are always ways to improve your game. Realizing your mistakes and fixing them separates the good runners from the great.
“Improving and fixing my nutrition will elevate my game to the next level,” said Freshman Mateo Delgado.
Sports teach you many things about life. Never giving up, pushing through the hard times, and learning to do your best in everything you do. Running can help give you attributes to use in the real world and helps you learn more about yourself.
Freshman Will Mason said, “I learned to be more patient with myself and for me to run at my own pace.”
Cross country is a great way for exercising and learning about who you are. It’s in the hard times, when you have to push and fight through the pain. Obtaining these qualities will help you to be more successful in life.
