Grandparents day is one of the most popular and special days Prestonwood Christian Academy annually celebrates. This day has become a beloved tradition at PCA that brings the students, parents, and grandparents together to celebrate and worship.
Grandparents were warmly welcomed by the PCA staff and their grandchildren, showing them their classrooms, meeting their teachers, and praising and worshiping the Lord together. For many students, it was a chance to honor the people who have played such an important role in their spiritual and personal lives.
The start of the day began with a special worship service led by the students and a special song sung by the kindergartners. Students shared their testimonies, followed by a message about the importance and influences grandparents have on their grandchild’s lives.
Senior Chris Fu says, “My favorite part of grandparents day was worshipping with my grandparents and being able to celebrate them.”
Senior Blake Wilson says, “I really enjoyed spreading the joy of serving others as I talked about H2OCO to the grandparents.”
After All School Worship, the grandparents were invited to visit the classrooms and see firsthand the Christ-centered education that their grandchildren experience. Grandparents day served as a celebration of the hard work and love they give their grandchildren daily.
