Lions Gear Up for Season Opener on Brand-New Turf Against All Saints
This Friday, the Prestonwood Lions will kick off their highly anticipated season opener against Fort Worth All Saints, ranked second among private schools in Texas. As the Lions step onto their brand-new turf for the first time, excitement is buzzing throughout the school community.
Starting the season ranked number one by Dave Campbell's Texas Football, the Lions are ready to prove their worth on the field. Player Brody Pavelka shared his thoughts about the new turf saying, “I like it; it’s very soft and provides a good cushion, but I tend to slip a little bit more on it.”
Fans are just as eager, Preston Nguyen expresses his enthusiasm despite having to work concessions saying, “Sadly, I have to work concessions, but I am still excited because it’s going to be one of the best games this season.”
With high expectations and a spirited atmosphere, the Lions are ready to face off this Friday. This matchup not only starts the season off, but also sets the stage for the rest of an exciting season.
Will the Lions keep their top ranking and secure a victory against Fort Worth All Saints? With the support of their fans and the talent of their players, I think they are capable.
