The Dallas Cup, which is a soccer tournament hosted in Dallas, takes place every year around the week of Easter. This tournament has age groups from kids under the age of twelve all the way up to teenagers at the age of eighteen. This year, there are teams coming from all corners of the world. This includes a team from Brazil, Bangladesh, Denmark, England, Mexico, Germany, Spain, and even Ireland.
Teams are in groups of four, and each team has the most points out of their group moves into the quarterfinals or the semifinals, depending on how many teams are in your age group.
There is a very special reward for the most talented teams in the Dallas Cup, If your team is an under nineteen team, then you may have the opportunity to be selected to play in the Super Group. Being in the super group is a true honor, and some of the teams headlining the Super Group are Real Madrid, SAF Botafogo, and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Dallas Cup games are played at Moneygram Field Complex, Richland College, and Toyota Field Complex.
If a team has the opportunity to play in the Dallas Cup finals, they are awarded with face off against the opposing team in the stadium that belongs to the Major League Soccer team FC Dallas.
The winner of the Dallas Cup is rewarded with a trophy ceremony in the center of FC Dallas’ stadium, with confetti rain pouring down on these hard working kids who put blood, sweat, and tears into winning this prestigious tournament. It is truly a blessing to play in the Dallas Cup, and the memories formed at this event are held and looked back upon for generations to come.
