Prestonwood Lady Lions Softball had an amazing showdown for their first district game of the season against TCA that was on March 18th. These ladies proved themselves during this game. This was a very competitive match up that had me on the edge of my seat. The Lady Lions kicked off the first inning with a total of 3 runs. Giving them a great lead that would benefit them in the game.
In the third inning TCA started scoring many runs that put them up by one run. But our lady lions fought back strong and hard then flipping the tables. Reagan Baker and Laila George scored two home runs in the same inning making sure Prestonwood was sure to secure victory. The softball field is much like a battlefield where you never stop fighting until you conquer your competitor.
Junior Reagan Baker said, “I love getting to be out on the field and compete competitively, and showcast all of our outstanding talents.” This team’s community is so inspiring to see and the hope is that these girls will succeed in everything they do.
With all said and done the Lady Lions run won the battle 18-7. Looking ahead Prestonwood Christian will carry the momentum to their next district game. For TCA hopefully they will learn from mistakes and prosper in their next match up.
As for the Lady Lions success will continue, as for the team they are said to look way better this year.
