How old were you when you started participating in musicals?
I was in my first musical when I was 11 years old and I’ve done it ever since.
How many hours a week do you practice?
Now that show week is soon, we practice about 20 hours a week including weekends.
Name one thing you are working to improve right now?
I’m working on finding my part in the music while not worrying about any distractions.
How would your teammates describe you?
My teammates would personally describe me as hardworking and kind. I love everyone in the cast and it’s been a great experience. In the musical, I play the character Cinderella’s Prince who is extremely mean throughout the play, so it’s fun for me to step into a role that is so different from my personality.
Who is your role model, and why?
My role model is my mentor Eric Fields. He disciples me as well as a few of my friends and has shown me a lot about how to follow Christ.
What is the hardest thing about being in the play?
The hardest thing about being in the play is developing character. For this play, I have to develop a character that is completely different from my personality. It’s been a challenge, but I feel like I’ve done a good job.
Name something that stresses you out?
One thing that stresses me out is stage fright. Even if the auditorium is empty, I always get stressed out when I’m about to say my first lines.
Name a recent accomplishment you are proud of, and why?
I recently went an entire rehearsal without looking at my script which was a big stepping stone for me having all of my lines memorized.
Before I graduate, I want to ________, and why?
Before I graduate, I want to create a Bible study and lead it myself.
Name one thing about yourself that most people don’t know?
One thing about me that most people don’t know is that I used to tap dance.
