In the PCA Lower School, the annual tradition is for kindergarteners to celebrate 100 days of being in school, and they dress up as senior citizens. (This is honestly one of the cutest things I have ever seen!) From fake grey mustaches to round grandma glasses, all of the kindergarteners enjoy this day to dress up with their friends and take funny photos!
The teachers set up their classrooms and play games with the kids to celebrate their fun day with them. This 100 days is a fun excuse to celebrate a bunch of five and six years for succeeding in 100 days of work, which can be challenging!
Some games that the teachers played with the little kids consisted of sets of “100” such as attempting to stack 100 red cups, putting 100 fruit loops on a string to create a necklace, and just a bunch of other games that keep the kids engaged and having fun while still learning all they need to know
Mrs. Lindsey Ferguson, the LS Library Aid said, “I enjoy seeing the little kids run around in their costumes, and it is so funny to see little old people around the school for sure. 100 days is my favorite day of the year.”
Even the Library Aide notices the creativity that the kids put into their costumes! Seeing them come into the Library for their class time and having them explain the props for their costumes is one of the funniest things she has experienced all year!
Overall, 100 days of Lower School for Kindergarteners is always a fun time filled with excitement, laughter, and a fun day with your friends. This fun milestone celebration not only reflects the progress and recognizes the achievements of the little kids, but they get to celebrate in the best way possible!
