As the 2024-2025 season officially ends, it’s time to reflect on all the fantastic memories and accomplishments made by PCA Comp Cheer! This team has a unique chemistry that is truly unlike any other at PCA, which I believe is what makes it so very special. The team is composed of students ranging from 7th to 12th grade, which makes for a very different environment from other teams. Older girls become like big sisters to the youngest team members, creating a family-like atmosphere and bond that lasts a lifetime, evidenced by our regular visits and support from alums. This year, we faced many challenges, from significant injuries to untimely inclement weather, but with constant commitment and trust in the Lord, we overcame it all. The year came to a bittersweet end at our final competition, NCA Nationals, a few weeks ago. While we did not have the outcome we wanted, I know I speak for the entire team when I say we could not be more grateful for this year spent together. Through the highs and lows, we all grew together as both athletes and sisters in Christ, and at the end of the day, no win could be more valuable than that. As a senior, I look forward to visiting practices as an alum next year and, for the years to come, watching the team continue to grow. No matter what, I will always be proud! With a heavy heart full of the best memories and lessons learned, I say goodbye to Comp 2024-2025, and hello to Comp 2025-2026! See you at tryouts!
