As our Lions start off the third quarter strong, the Prestonwood Family has welcomed new international students to join us starting this quarter. Many international students began to attend Prestonwood along with all the other students after the winter break, and are currently enjoying their time here. To take an in-depth look at the experience provided to these students, let us welcome and have a brief conversation with 4th grade, international student from South Korea, Jieon Yoon.
How old are you Jieon?
I am 11 years old.
What grade are you in?
I am in the 4th grade.
When did you arrive in Dallas and when are you planning to leave?
I arrived in Dallas on December 24th, and plan to leave on February 17th.
Who is your home room teacher?
My home room teacher is Mrs. Harrison.
What is your favorite class?
My favorite class is art class. I love to draw.
How has your experience here at Prestonwood differ from your student life in Korea?
I have a joyful experience learning here as it is quite fun.
How has it been spending time and meeting new friends here?
My friends here are super friendly and are more outgoing than my friends back in Korea which I find fun.
What is your favorite part in your school day here?
My favorite part is recess. I played basketball often back in Korea, and being able to play basketball here during recess with all my new friends has been a blast.
