This coming Friday night, September 1st, the Lions will go up against the Second Baptist Eagles. This will be a great game to watch because both teams have a lot of young talent. The Eagles are coming all the way from Houston to meet the Lions, who are ready to bounce back after a loss last game to the Liberty Christian Warriors. Since it is only the second game of the season, they are still breaking the ice with new teammates and learning how to mesh as a team. We are hoping that our Lions can prevail against any hardships or adversity they might face in this upcoming game, and that our starting quarterback, Kellen Tasby, can lead the Lions to a great win. Regardless of the outcome, the Varsity Lions have an optimistic mindset for the upcoming game.

“We are going out and are going to give it our all,” said Senior Kellen Tasby.

The fans are also a huge part of our team’s success when it comes to Friday Night Lights. The team needs all the love and support we can give to them, so please come out to Lions Stadium on Friday night and support your home team. This week’s theme for the game is “Electrify the Eagles.” Fans are invited to arrive wearing neon colored clothing. Fans play an important role they may not even understand, as more fans give the Lions confidence to go out and perform to their best abilities. So with that being said, let’s pray for a good outcome at tomorrow night’s game and for everyone to stay healthy.

“I want everyone to come out and support and give us the energy we need. Let’s go Lions!” said Senior Tag O’Neal.

“Let’s go Lion Nation!” said Junior Brady Palmer.

Let’s get this win against the Eagles!
