The anticipated time for Friday night lights is finally here and we are all excited for the football season ahead of us. The first game of this season will be on Friday on the 25th of august. Our lions will go head to head against the Liberty Warriors and will be playing away. This will be a great statement game for the Lions to show all what they practiced and trained for. The Lions are showing a lot of potential this season with the many recruits and transfers added to the roster. Regardless of the outcome the Lions are looking to have a successful season.

“I think it will be a great game, both teams have great potential but no matter the outcome I will give it my all out on the field.” said Senior Gunner Naivar.

The game was recently postponed due to high heat temperatures and this is a very important thing to be concerned about. As a player playing in a game is hard enough as it is, but in extreme heat conditions it would be even more difficult. This could lead to safety problems for the players and this is the last thing that a team would want for a player. So for the safety of everyone it was moved until the weather got to a reasonable temperature.

“Playing in the heat is something not enjoyable for anyone, I am glad that that was a concern for us and was dealt with properly.” said Senior Colson Reeves.

We are hoping for the victory on Friday night so we can start our season on a positive note. Even if it does not go as the lions wanted they will learn from it and end up having a great season.

“I hope we can go win us a ring this season and bring another one home for the Lions.” said Senior Tanner Trout.
