As PCA is swinging into the spring sports, the final season of the year, the baseball team is getting ready for another fantastic season. The Lions are coming off of an unbelievable season as they were the 6A TAPPS baseball state champions in 2021-2022. The team is composed of multiple seniors and juniors, along with very talented underclassmen, committed to colleges all around the country.

The team is excited to get back to work and compete against the tough competition against the best in the state. A new addition to the team is Dondreone Kennedy, a senior committed to The University of Texas at Austin. He gave some input on how he is ready for the season.

Senior Dondreone Kennedy said, “I am excited for this new season and being able to have the chance to win a championship with this team.”

Coach Vilade and the team work extremely hard during off season and in-season.

Sophomore Chase Lucien said, “Coach pushes us hard all the time so that we will be fully prepared for the season.”

Sophomore Xavier Mitchell said, “I am excited to get to play with such talent on my school ball team.”

The PCA student body is ready to cheer on the Lions as they rapidly get ready for their season. The baseball team will be one of the most competitive teams in the area and is ready to win another state title. Come cheer on the Lions as their home opener is right around the corner.
