Seniors Grace McCraw and Wiley Green announced as Homecoming Queen and King at halftime during the Varsity Football game against Parish Episcopal.

What was going through your mind while you were waiting for the winners to be called?

Wiley: “My mom told me how I was not going to win, and we were talking about how we were going to celebrate Jeremiah or Timothy’s win afterwards.”

Grace: “Is everyone as nervous as I am? I wish the wind would stop blowing my hair in my face. I hope I don’t fall.”

If we were making a movie, who would you want to play you?

Wiley: “Ryan Gosling”

Grace: “Queen Latifah”

If you had a walk-up song as they said your name, what would it be?

Wiley: “’Wannabe’ by the Spice Girls”

Grace: “’September’ by Earth, Wind and Fire”

Where is your crown right now?

Wylie: “I have a deer head on a wall in my room; my scepter is in between the deer antlers, and the sash is hanging over the head.”

Grace: “At the end of my bed.”

What did you do for the remainder of the night?

Wiley: “I played football.”

Grace: “I took pictures with adoring fans.”

What does it mean to you to be king/queen?

Wiley: “I’m honored and flattered that my peers voted for me.”

Grace: “It’s a huge honor. Knowing so many people voted for me is amazing. I hope I set a good example for younger boys and girls who look up to me.”
