Most people start at four or five, but I didn’t start until age 14.

How many hours a week do you practice?
20 hours per week.

Name one thing you are working to improve right now?
I’m working on my turns with four and five rotations.

Pre-game ritual?
I work out for an hour to get myself geared up.

Nicknames your teammates call you?
“Ju.”

How would your teammates describe you?
Hardworking.

Who is your role model, and why?
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Holly Powell. She works so hard to make her dreams happen.

What gives you an edge?
Every spare second I have, I’m at the studio working.

What’s the hardest thing about pom?
Not feeling burned out.

Name a hobby you enjoy outside sports?
Pilates.

Name something that stresses you out, and why?
I’m always on time or early because I can’t stand being late.

Name something you are a pro at?
Improv dance.

Name a recent accomplishment you are proud of, and why?
I got first place at Tremaine for my solo.

Before I die, I want to ___________, and why?
Travel to Scotland. There’s a lot of cool stuff to see there.

Name one thing about yourself that most people don’t know?
I lived in New York City by myself last summer for dance. My parents weren’t there, which meant I had to ride the subway and run my own schedule.
