Sport?
Competitive Cheer

Age you started in this sport?
Age 5

How many hours a week do you practice?
3 times a week, around 15 hours total.

What position do you play, and why?
Mainly a base, but I tumble and jump. I used to be a flyer when I was younger, but then as I got older I transitioned to a base.

Name one thing you are working to improve right now?
Performance, performance, performance!

Pre-game ritual?
We sing “I believe” before we go out, and I have handshakes. Then we all break on “three.”

Nicknames your teammates call you?
I don’t really have one.

How would your teammates describe you?
Mostly quiet, I guess.

Who is your role model, and why?
My mom. She is very Godly, and someone that I naturally look up to.

What gives you an edge?
When the crowd gets going, I really go all out. It shows in my performance.

What’s the hardest thing about cheer?
It is a major time commitment, but it’s worth it in the end.

Name a hobby you enjoy outside sports?
I love to doodle and do calligraphy. So, I guess art.

Name something that stresses you out, and why?
Definitely school. And homework. And school.

Name something you are a pro at?
Uhh… nothing?

Name a recent accomplishment you are proud of, and why?
Winning NCA last year was a really big deal to me because I had been cheering for so long. I finally got it, and it made winning that much sweeter.

Before I die, I want to ___________, and why?
I want to cheer in college. It looks very fun, and the girls seem so cool.

Name one thing about yourself that most people don’t know?
Well, when I was in elementary school I was run over by a car. Like seriously. I was walking home from school, and my neighbor ran me over because they didn’t see me. I have a scar on my leg to prove it.
